Ok, we all do, but especially women! This conversation came up on one of our Well Walks, and we realized it wasn't just us!
We tend to be over thinkers, and prioritize everyone else's needs above ours. But I'm sure you have heard the expression "You can't fill from an empty cup". So before there is an explosion in the house, and you all know what I mean, get yourself out for some me time. Everyone else will thank you for it!
Find a space for you that you can really just... breathe.
You don't need to wait for a friend to be free to go for a coffee, hop in your car and grab a take away cuppa. Park up somewhere with a nice view and wind back the seat. A lot of you are mothers who need to drive your children to training and matches every week. Use that time for you, bring a travel cup and a book, and voila, you are double tasking!
Whatever you need to do, go for a walk, garden, drink a cuppa outdoors, yoga is great of course, but find something you can do to give you some breathing space.
Stress is the number one cause of illness and dis-ease in the body. It is a word that is probably over used, but take it seriously! Listen to your body and act accordingly.
It's not easy being a woman, so go easy on yourselves!
